Sonoma, Summer Flowers - Fringed Earrings by Mava Seaman

These earrings are 3.875 inches from the top of the ear wire to the tip of the longest fringe. The body at its widest point is 1.375 inches. The earring without the ear wire is 3.375 long.

The ear wire is a Sterling Silver Circle of Life Concho, 20mm. These earrings are one-of-a-kind. I don't repeat designs so each is unique!

The body of the earring is done in brick stitch using Miyuki size 11 sterling silver plate delica beads and Miyuki size 11 delica beads in Op White, Op Periwinkle, Matte Rainbow Mint Green, and Op Dyed Purple.

The fringe is Miyuki size 15 rocailles in Op White, Op Periwinkle, Matte Rainbow Mint Green, and Purple Lined Amethyst AB. The fringe starts and ends with Miyuki silver plate size 15 seed beads, or rocailles. The fringe is tipped with sterling silver plate size 15 seed beads and a 2mm Sterling Silver Bead.

I have been beading since the mid-1990s and am self-taught. In the beginning, I mainly used Bead&Button magazine and made some of their many projects until I learned enough techniques and stitches to begin designing my own things. I enjoy making beaded projects using different stitches and styles and rarely make the same design twice. I rarely sold my pieces. I decided to start making earrings and barrettes to sell on Etsy in October 2021. I love to see other bead artists' work and share ideas and techniques.
